Publication of GP Earnings

GP Net Earnings

NHS England require that the net earnings of doctors engaged in the Practice is published, and the required disclosure is shown below. However it should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the Practice, and should not be used to form any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparison with other GP Practices.

GP Net Earnings 2018/19
The average pay for GPs working in this practice in the last full financial year was £72,786.12 before tax and National insurance.  This is for two Full time GP’s, three part time GP’s and one locum GP who worked in the practice more than six months.

GP Net Earnings 2017/18
The average pay for GPs working in this practice in the last full financial year was £75,744.50 before tax and National insurance.  This is for two Full time GP’s, three part time GP’s and one salaried GP who worked in the practice more than six months.

GP Net Earnings 2016/17
The average pay for GPs working in this practice in the last full financial year was £83,814.51 before tax and National insurance.  This is for two Full time GP’s, three part time GPs and one salaried GPs who worked in the practice more than six months.

GP Net Earnings 2015/16
The average pay for GPs working in this practice in the last full financial year was £76,626.07 before tax and National insurance.  This is for two Full time GP, three part time GPs and one salaried GP.

GP Net Earnings 2014/15
The average pay for GPs working in this practice in the last full financial year was £77,811.46 before tax and National insurance.  This is for three Full time GP, three part time GPs.
